Neil Ghosh

Neil Ghosh’s mission is to give a voice to the voiceless and build bridges among people of all backgrounds and beliefs. A seasoned executive, Neil’s experience spans the nonprofit, government, philanthropic, and private sectors. At just 14, he founded a grassroots organization to empower children and youth in his hometown of Kolkata, India—displaying a passion for impact that has defined his career.
Neil’s journey has taken him from his childhood in Kolkata to leading the Australian government’s investment and trade office, from overcoming many personal and professional setbacks to securing leadership roles in global nonprofits supporting vulnerable populations in more than 50 countries.
He is currently the president of MGR Professional Services, Inc., a columnist at Patheos, and a senior advisor to the Ousri Foundation and the Healthy Climate Initiative. Previously, he was CEO of SOS Children’s Villages USA, executive vice president of the Global Fund for Children, and CEO of SNV Netherlands Development Organisation USA.
From advocating for systemic change at the highest levels to working hands-on with marginalized communities, Neil has dedicated his career to creating meaningful impact. His book, Do More Good, is the culmination of his journey—a collection of inspiring stories about extraordinary individuals and a handbook for positive action.
